The recommendations evoked mixed reactions in the community. Morris T. Koffa, the standard bearer of the New Vision Organization that protested what they called “a dangerously caculated political mathematics by the outgoing administration,” says “ULAA took a very strong position though we still await the board decision on the matter. The recommendations are temperate, modest and logical. The New Vision Organization will begin mobilizing and reaching out to our constituents in preparation for free and fair elections.

“We intend to attune, harmonize and integrate our community democratically and constitutionally. We will strictly adhere to the those proposals and revise the LCA-WMA constitution to reflect our community’s values and integrity.

“The audit of the Lloyd administration is long overdue. Lloyd has not proven himself innocent. He needs to have his character vindicated of the many red flags surrounding alleged financial improprieties.

“We withdrew from the kangaroo elections of October 28 because the election commission’s composition ignored full participation of all contending parties. We believe that representation of all contenders in any democratic exercise is proper and rational.

“Quite interestingly, the Garnett administration has been declared null and void in the report. Meanwhile, we welcome Dave Garnett to join us put in place a genuine leadership for the Liberian Community Association of the Washington metropolitan area. There is a possibility he just might be the leader this community desires.

“For the sake of peace and healing of our beloved community, the New Vision Organization encourages Dave Garnett, John Lloyd, Henry Glay and other parties to find an appropriate venue to discuss matters relevant to healing our community. All parties must respect the recommendations of the fact-finding committee and put aside all the bickering, pettiness and sorry ethnic ideologies espoused by a few in our community. We urge our religious leaders to get involved in the reconcilatory process. The Liberian Community of the Washington metropolitan area that has recently been derailed, must be put back on course,” Koffa reasons.
