A 5-day management and leadership workshop for farm leaders has ended in Gull Town Mambahn Chiefdom in Lower Margibi County.
The workshop was sponsored by Action Aid Liberia in collaboration with the Membahn Development Program. It brought together 25 participants from dight towns within the chiefdom.
Speaking during the closing ceremonies, the Agriculture support officer of Action Aid Liberia, Dax Tuah said farmers were taught the skills of low-land farm development.
He said his organization and the European Union office in Liberia funded the first project last year but said the project failed because it was done in the rainy season.
He lauded the participants for their role during the workshop and said Action Aid Liberia will continue to work along with the Mambahn Development program in the chiefdom.
For his part, the General Manager and Senior Consultant of Gren Gtoar Incorported Dr. Sizi Subah said the participants were taught various techniques in low land development as well as developing their leadership ability as farm group leaders, among others.
During the workshop the participants were separated in three working groups namely the Autocratic, Lessay Fare, and the democratic group.
